So, here’s the reason for this post.... Today, we want to update you regarding a new fitness challenge going viral in India and abroad.
Our Head Coach, Jasbinder Gulati SFG1, who thought of it and started this challenge gave it the name "Bottoms up Kettlebell save water challenge" With the hashtag #bottomsupkettlebellsavewaterchallenge.
So, why "save water"? This you can understand better by reading what our friend and StrongFirst India family member Bharathi Gnanadesigan wrote in his post, " The water crisis is real. In Chennai, we have been rationed to 4 to 5 buckets a day for a family. The quality of the water is slowly deteriorating. This summer is a wake-up call for us (especially us - Chennaites). From water management to actively and politically getting involved in the positive changes - it is a long road ahead. " There have been news about Hyderabad running out of drinking water supply in less than 48 days. This is just the beginning and if we don’t become conscious about saving water now, soon we won’t have any water to save.
Coach Jasbinder also wanted to highlight the benefits of using kettlebells for enhancing overall strength and improving the quality of human movement by learning and practicing "Turkish Get-ups"; with “Bottoms up Kettlebell" in particular.
This challenge aims to create awareness among people about saving water and at the same time, inspire them to become healthier and stronger using Kettlebells, and StrongFirst Strength Principles.
We have been a part of @StrongFirst India family for a few years now and using the @strongfirst Strength principles seen major Strength gains in all our members.
