Ingredients:
Berry Filling:
4 cups blueberries ( fresh or frozen) 
1 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp shredded coconut flakes 
Topping:
1 cup blanched almond flour (store-bought or blend almonds in the blender)
½ teaspoon sea salt
¼ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
1 cup pecans, chopped (any nut will do)
½ cup coconut oil, melted
2 teaspoon raw honey
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350F (175?C). Place the berries in a baking pan and sprinkle cinnamon & coconut on top.
In a large bowl, combine almond flour with sea salt and baking soda. S in the unsweetened shredded coconut and nut.
Add melted  coconut oil & honey into the mix. Make sure everything is well-blended, then crumble the almond flour mixture over the berries.
Bake for about 30 minutes until toppings are  golden brown. .

Egg White Frittata- cooking for household in keeping with Dr. Ornish plan. 
Into lightly greased 9 in. round nonstick pan, I placed chopped artichoke hearts (around 6 oz.)
sauteed onions (1 medium onion, ) minced parsley (about 1/2 bunch,) chopped sundried tomatoes (what you see on board,) chopped roasted red peppers (same- see board,) and a sprinkling of frozen shoe string potatoes (Cascadisn Farm.)

Then I prepared the eggs. In keeping with roommate's diet, I used egg whites, and then added 1 Tbsp turmeric and 1 Tbsp brewer's yeast,  both for color and taste. (Beats buying EggBeaters.) Forgot the 1 Tbsp flour and basil, but remembered 1/2 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper. .
Baked for 35 min (instead of 25-30) at 400°F (204°C.) Served with Ezekiel sprouted grain bread and apples. .

A healthy home is a happy home💛 Spending time together bonding over a meal is crucial to not just your overall happiness but ultimately your health. (As is getting outside, going for walks/bike rides, laughing, talking etc). Setting one day a week aside (or more if you can) to sit down together, cook a family meal, and talk about your day and things that are important to you is time well spent. Now that the kids are a little older, I also assign small tasks to complete the family meal (anything from chopping, shelling peas, shucking corn, setting table, napkins, filling water glasses etc.) When we all come together to share this it makes it so much more enjoyable. (And trust me it did not always feel enjoyable with picky eaters and fussy toddlers, and even now some meals are better and easier than others BUT it gets better so hang in there mamas).💗 Today is Sunday; we are off to church and then over to Granville island, and I know we will find all kinds of delicious and fresh goodness to start our week off on a healthy note!🌱 Stay tuned for Sunday dinner inspo, but if you haven’t yet made the lemony yogurt herb marinade for chicken it would be a delicious place to start (recipe a few posts back)!👍

Když mi bylo asi 15, někde jsem si přečetla, že by se mělo večeřet několik hodin před spaním. Vytvořila jsem si proto pravidlo večeřet přesně v 17:00 a dodržovala jsem ho, i když jsem tou dobou ještě neměla hlad a také jsem kvůli tomu rušila všechny večerní společenské akce🤦🏽‍♀️Uvědomila jsem si ale, že když má tělo hlad, potřebuje jídlo a nezáleží na tom, kolik je hodin. Teď často chodím na večerní lekce jógy, domů se vracím celkem pozdě, večeřím velkou mísu těstovin a pár minut po tom si jdu lehnout😴Jasně, mám štěstí na skvělé trávení a někomu opravdu může být nepříjemné jít spát s plným žaludkem. Co ale tímhle postem chci říct, je to, že těstoviny jsou v 19:59 a v 20:01 pořád ty stejné těstoviny. Tak se neřiďte hloupými pravidly, ale svým vlastním tělem🌞
